The groovey feelings from the quote are probably felt most during moments of reflection, like when you're driving to Nashville.

Things definitely feel warp-speedy today. I learned that I can balance my coffee mug on a stack of clothes and make it up one flight of stairs without incident...

I do like that quote. I did not feel alive, growth-filled, or passionate in my cubicle and it was best to remove myself from that situation -- for me, the replacement who would give more than 10% of their energy to that role (and like it!), and everyone else around me.

I thought the day counter had taken a strange leap. Here is a quote from a rather overworked trapeze analogy I found in my folder of miscellaneous clippings: (The Essene Book of Days for 1988, Danaan Parry):

"...Whether or not my hunch is true, it remains that the transition zones in our lives are incredibly rich places. They should be honored, even savored. Yes, with all the pain and fear and feelings of being out-of-control that can (but not necessarily) accompany transitions, they are the most alive, most growth-filled, passsionate, expansive moments of our lives."
