Happy 2008, snowmen and snowwomen.

No year-end or year-beginning lists here…just a quick post on New Year’s Day to say thanks. This has been quite a ride and, whether you realize it or not, all of you out there have provided a lot of help as I move from one phase of my life to another. 2007 was all about finding a direction, and I’m approaching 2008 with focus and comfort. That’s at least partially a result of throwing ideas out on this blog and seeing what’s good and what’s not. Thank you, commenters, and e-mailers. I hope 2008 treats you all well.

Like I said, no lists. I’m not fond of sharing New Year’s resolutions. In fact, I don’t really make any because I’m constantly evaluating and shifting goals around all year. So I’m not going to say “Hey, post your resolutions here!” or anything like that. However, you know me — I can’t pass up a chance to be preachy. I’ll leave you with this as we start the new year together: Have a plan, and always be pushing forward. Don’t wait, don’t be afraid, and don’t give up.

Be the snowman from yesterday’s post: “At least I’ll try.”

Your plans and goals may require moving the earth but that struggle will be nothing compared to the agony of wondering what would have happened if you’d only…
