I’m going to take a break from the blog for a couple of weeks. I completed my grad school applications and I’m moving on to another phase, that being the mailing of my stories so they can be rejected efficiently and ruthlessly by all of the wonderful, talented editors out there.
(Rejection can be a good thing, though. I’m sure those of you who read my last flash fiction piece would agree: Some things may not belong in print.)
Before I disappear, though, I wanted to say thanks for reading and commenting. I enjoy sharing stuff on this site and I hope I can come back soon with some new ideas. Of course I can’t get rid of all Internet-based vices so you Facebook users out there can always give me a poke if you feel like it.
And it wouldn’t be MoodyTunes without some lyrics to take us out:
Well she’s walking, through the clouds
With a circus mind that’s running wild
Butterflies and zebras
And moonbeams, and fairy tales
That’s all she ever thinks about
Riding with the wind
When I’m sad she comes to me
With a thousand smiles she gives to me free
It’s all right she said, it’s all right
Take anything you want from me
Anything
Fly on Little Wing
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Little Wing
Jimi Hendrix — “Little Wing” (a YouTube clip…bad video but excellent audio. Give it a listen.)

You, or rather, your blog, will be missed! Good luck with those stories.
Good Luck on the submissions Alex. You write so well, I’m sure you will be published soon if you keep submitting.
Y’all are too kind. I hope I have something to show for this crazy scheme one day.
