A short piece for your reading pleasure this fine Monday: Mark Twain’s “The War Prayer.” It’s a jab at people who pray for things like their loving, caring, peaceful god’s help in vanquishing enemies on the battlefield. The last full paragraph is especially amusing so I’ll paste some of it in here:
